Britain’s largest organisation for performance poetry and the spoken word in England. Founded 35 years ago it is a charity championing spoken word artists and creating inspiring experiences for audiences.
Engaged to mentor the Director, as she developed the charity from its Deptford base to become a national network for performance poetry with a production programme. 

This included how to describe her vision and plan for the development of the organisation and how to manage relationships with Trustees and other key stakeholders to win support for her vision and plan. A key challenge was how to expand from its London base and I hosted and facilitated a strategy day with the Director and Trustees to build a plan.

This resulted in the first partnership outside London, which paved the way for the broad reach the organisation has today. It also gained the Trustees support to extend the Director role to full time.
