Spearheaded Digital Growth in a speciality jewellery business.
As Commercial Director for Signet (USAs leading jewellery retailer, trading as Ernest Jones and H Samuel in the UK), I led a programme to accelerate digital growth, resulting in +18% growth ahead of the market (11%) and increasing participation.
I recruited a Head of ecommerce, two Trading managers for the brands and developed the junior team. I reviewed Marketing spend across all channels and moved over a £1m to digital with a strong ROI. I initiated improvements to the websites functionality and supporting operations, increasing on site conversion and the success rate of picks by store.
I led a review of the H Samuel brand, resulting in a more modern execution, which resonated well with customers, increasing conversion and dwell time and doubling the brand’s database to over 500,000.
