Review of planning for a leading Value multiple

Working as an associate with a Retail change consultancy, the client was a successful leading Value multiple who wanted a review of planning to support better supply chain efficiencies and control of intake.

I assessed the model, which had a large proportion of continuity and FMCG product, as well as key seasonal product. I guided the gap analysis of their current processes and used my knowledge of grocery, as well as extensive Home and Leisure categories to propose process improvements and make the case for a light touch WSSI to provide a total role up of intake. I presented the findings to cross functional directors, who decided to adopt the measures proposed to improve visibility and control.
